Purpose of the function

he Key Account Manager (KAM) in Oncology Sales, located in AB/SK, will play a crucial role in driving the commercial success of our oncology portfolio. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing robust territory-specific strategic account plans, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including oncologists, healthcare providers, and decision-makers within key accounts. The KAM will implement strategic sales plans, coordinate cross functional launch efforts for the successful launch and adoption of Daiichi-Sankyo's Oncology pipeline of products in breast cancer. The KAM will ensure the achievement of sales targets in a fast-paced dynamic environment while working in a style that adheres to our corporate values of integrity, accountability and Innovation in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated local account plans to prepare for a successful launch of Dato Dxd in breast cancer as well as subsequent launches of ENHERTU.
  • Achieve pre- and post-launch objectives and sales targets.
  • Develop strong relationships with identified target stakeholders based on DSCA’s customer-centricity focus, trust and perceived added value to the customer through personal expertise.
  • Visit Oncologists and other HCP stakeholders to communicate product information.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and account performance to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement. Share insights upwards for boarder applications.
  • Coordinate deployment of resources locally within the framework of a local cross functional team, leading a rigorous evolving stakeholder plan across the territory.
  • Regularly shares best practices with internal peers and alliance partners.
  • USE KAM selling skills and understanding to secure the Oncology business for a mutually beneficial outcome for DS, the alliance partner, and customers.
  • Organize and conduct product presentations, workshops, and training sessions for key stakeholders.
  • Identify the customer’s need for scientific projects to help establish Daiichi Sankyo as a trusted partner in Oncology and improve patient outcomes; support implementation with medical colleagues.
  • Drive the development and implementation of local activities.
  • Ensure budget control and monitor key activities in accordance with stakeholder plans.
  • Submit all expenses in a timely manner and in alignment with internal policies.
  • Conduct all activities with integrity and in accordance with the applicable laws, rules and regulations

Education & Experience

Education:Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related fieldadvanced degree (MBA, MS, PharmD) Preferred

Experience:Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a focus on oncology.

Skills and additional Requirements

Proven track record of success in key account management and achieving sales targets.Strong understanding of the oncology market, including treatment protocols, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of autonomy.Prior knowledge of the customers or the therapeutic area is a plus.Dynamic, structured and committed to work in a matrix team, employing a highly collaborative working style.
