IT Applications Service Manager (m/f/d)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Applications Service Manager (m/f/d) to join our Global DX team. In this role, you will oversee the operation, maintenance,and continuous enhancement of our business applications, ensuring they align with
strategic objectives and meet the evolving needs of our organization. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, manage vendor relationships, and drive initiatives to improve application performance and reliability.
Roles and Responsibilities
•Lead the management of business and custom applications, ensuring their availability, performance, and reliability through proactive monitoring and maintenance through all phases of the System Development Life Cycle
• Develop and implement application lifecycle management strategies, including upgrades, patches, and enhancements
• Collaborate with business application owners, department heads, and end-users to understand requirements and prioritize initiatives
• Serve as the primary point of contact for application-related inquiries, issues,and enhancement requests
• Manage relationships with software vendors, service providers, and consultants, including contract negotiation and compliance with SLAs and licensing agreements
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to evaluate potential solutions and vendors
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency improvements within the application environment
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to support continuous improvement
• Facilitate regular status updates with stakeholders to review project and service performance
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT service management focusing on business applications and enterprise software
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor and stakeholder relationships
• Proficiency in ITSM tools and IT Asset Management
• Good knowledge of ITIL standards
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to handle complex situations in dynamic environments
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, international team environment with multiple priorities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in German or another European language is a plus
