The Position
• Position Overview:
We are seeking a visionary Digital Transformation Lead (m/f/d) to drive the development and implementation of global digital systems and programs supporting Daiichi Sankyo’s corporate functions including Legal, Compliance, Human Resources, and Digital Transformation initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping the technology roadmap for corporate platforms and global business systems, ensuring scalable, compliant, and innovative solutions that accelerate digital transformation and continuous improvement across our global footprint.
Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with global corporate stakeholders to align IT initiatives with business objectives, prioritizing projects and driving technological roadmapsthat support Daiichi Sankyo’s mid- and long-term goals.
• Lead and manage global application implementation teams, including external vendors, to design, develop, and deploy standardized global applicationsacross multiple regions. Ensure smooth transitions from implementation to
maintenance, while proactively managing risks.
• Champion IT standards and best practices by leading strategic IT transformation projects that optimize processes, improve efficiencies, and deliver innovative solutions. Provide expertise and guidance on project
management and software development lifecycle practices to ensure compliant and effective delivery.
• Oversee financial planning and budget management for digital programs and global business systems, ensuring ROI-driven investments and efficient resource utilization aligned with enterprise priorities.
• Manage and mentor a diverse team including IT System Owners and consultants, fostering a collaborative, multicultural environment and promoting professional growth
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in global applications development and implementation within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven experience in global people management, especially across Japan and other international regions.
• Strong background in budget management, vendor negotiations, and delivering cost-effective technology investments.
• Familiarity with SDLC, SIAM, SaaS, PaaS, ITIL frameworks; PMP certification preferred.
• Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with regional teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
