Job Summary
As the Director, Enterprise AI Readiness based at our Munich headquarter, you will be responsible for building and leading the conditions necessary for AI to scale successfully across the organization. This strategic role oversees the AI Ready program, including the design and execution of training, change management, and adoption initiatives. You will set the direction for AI content within the enterprise digital upskilling program and lead the citizen developer program that empowers change agents to drive AI adoption and business transformation throughout the company. Your leadership in defining KPIs, managing readiness assessments, and coordinating cross-functional collaboration will be critical to embedding AI capabilities effectively into the enterprise culture and operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and own the AI Ready program strategy, including defining AI skill levels, training plans, and target headcounts aligned with enterprise AI talent goals.
- Direct the strategic planning, policy setting, and content prioritization for AI training delivered through the enterprise digital upskilling program, ensuring effective execution.
- Lead the enterprise citizen developer program, managing enablement pathways, tooling adoption, community engagement, and compliance with AI governance and technical standards.
- Drive the advanced AI training program to develop and deploy change agents who champion AI adoption and business transformation across divisions.
- Lead enterprise-wide AI change management initiatives, including communications and adoption campaigns across regions and business functions.
- Establish and manage the AI champion network and community in collaboration with the AI Center of Excellence representatives.
- Conduct comprehensive readiness assessments (skills, processes, data, sponsorship, user needs) to tailor adoption plans and inform portfolio development.
- Design, implement, and monitor the AI readiness KPI framework, coordinating divisional targets and adoption roles while maintaining enterprise adoption dashboards.
- Operate continuous user feedback mechanisms to enhance portfolio offerings, platform usability, training content, and solution improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with AI Strategy, AI Technical Excellence, AI Governance, and HR to align AI readiness efforts with broader enterprise initiatives including workforce planning and role evolution.
Professional Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications in change management, learning and development, or organizational transformation preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience in change management, digital adoption, capability building, or transformation programs, with significant exposure to technology or AI-enabled change.
- Proven track record in designing and managing enterprise-wide training, certification, or adoption programs with measurable KPI frameworks.
- Experience working across global regions and cultures; pharmaceutical or life sciences industry experience preferred.
- Familiarity with citizen development, low-code/AI tooling, and community-of-practice models preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
Travel Requirements
International travel of up to approximately 20% is required to collaborate effectively across DSJ, DSI, and DSE time zones.
