Job Summary

The Global Medical Omnichannel Lead will drive will the development and execution of the global omnichannel strategy for Global Oncology Medical Affairs (GOMA). The individual will advance Medical Affairs engagement strategy through a modern, digital-first omnichannel approach. This leader will set and drive the global vision for seamless, personalized engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs) by integrating innovative digital channels (e.g., HQ channels, 3rd party media, social media, closed HCP networks) and enabling Medical Affairs teams to deliver tailored, asset-specific engagement plans. The role combines strategic vision setting with hands-on enablement to ensure both high-level direction and effective tactical execution. This role will build and scale the GOMA omnichannel function.

Responsibilities

  • Medical Omnichannel Vision & Strategy: Develop and execute the global medical omnichannel strategy, in alignment with the Daiichi Sankyo omnichannel vision, to enable the delivery of a seamless, customer-centric experience for HCPs (right content, right time, right channel). Partner with Commercial Omnichannel teams to ensure alignment.
  • Digital Channel Strategy: Develop and execute digital channel strategies including medical education, HCP engagement, and scientific exchange that support global medical plans and enable
    region medical affairs teams to execute locally.
    • Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging digital trends and technologies in Medical Affairs and
      Oncology, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance digital engagement. Monitor industry
      best practices, attend and play a prominent role at key digital/innovation conferences, and
      participate in relevant training to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of digital
      innovation.
  • Management of Digital Channel Platforms: In close partnership with DS&I Technology, Operations & Change enablement group, work together with IT, GOMA, and Region MA partners, to oversee
    the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of digital platforms (websites, portals, social media, webinars, virtual congresses, etc.) for Medical Affairs activities.
  • Cross-team Collaboration: Work with a cross-functional medical affairs team including Franchise and GMAT leads, Region (Medical, Omnichannel, and Analytics) leads, Affiliate Medical Directors,
    Content Team, Scientific Engagement Team, Analytics and Data Teams to enable medical engagement strategy (i.e. medical journeys with associated outcomes) and enable capability pull-through.
    • Content Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Medical Content & Training, Publications, Scientific Engagement & Congress, Communications, IT, Compliance) to ensure
      content is accessible and adaptable across channels and allows for compliant customization for HCP personalization.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Align on metrics with global and regional stakeholders, to monitor digital channel performance, and in partnership with the Medical Analytics team, generate insights from analytics. Recommend optimizations to improve reach, engagement, and impact.
    • Compliance: Ensure all digital activities are conducted in accordance with Daiichi Sankyo’s compliance policies, GDPR, GxP, and all applicable regulations.
  • Training & Support: Serve as a subject matter expert for customer experience, digital channels and omnichannel strategy, and internal/external regulatory and governance processes. Provide training and support to internal global and regional medical teams on omnichannel best practices and tools.

Qualifications

Education Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree In life science, digital health, or a related discipline required.  Master's Degree, PharmD or PhD in fields related to digital innovation, healthcare management or pharmaceutical sciences preferred.

Experience Qualifications
10 or More Years Overall related experience or commensurate education and experience, with at least 8 of the 10 being professional level experience required
7 or More Years Experience in roles related to digital innovation, strategy development, and project management within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries required
4 or More Years Experience in Medical Affairs or a related function, along with leadership experience driving digital transformation initiatives required
4 or More Years Leadership roles in digital/omnichannel strategy, digital analytics and/or field enablement required
Demonstrated experience in content management strategy including digitalizing and modularizing medical content; Proven leadership skills in a cross-functional global team environment; Experience in managing cross-functional teams, collaborating with diverse stakeholders and with the ability to influence without authority; Strong knowledge of industry best practices; Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance considerations in the pharmaceutical industry; Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to partner and work with teams across regions and functions required


Travel Requirements
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. Business meetings, including international travel

Salary Range:

USD$189,600.00 - USD$284,400.00
