Job Summary

The Global Procurement Third-Party Due Diligence (3PDD*), Procurement Risk Management and ESG Expert will play a critical role within the Global Procurement Centre of Excellence by assisting in the implementation and management of the organization`s strategies related to Procurement Risk Management, 3PDD , and Sustainability. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Procurement Third-Party Due Diligence (3PDD), Procurement Risk Management, and ESG, the successful candidate will support the oversight of the 3PDD process, contribute to sustainability initiatives, and help develop a comprehensive risk management framework that integrates Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in procurement and risk management, with an ability to collaborate effectively across various functions to foster a culture of transparency and accountability.
*Procurement basically focuses on Suppliers.

Roles and Responsibilities

3PDD Management:

• Manage in the oversight of the global Third-Party Due Diligence (3PDD) process to ensure the effective identification and mitigation of risks associated with Suppliers.
• Collaborate closely with global stakeholders to facilitate communication and ensure alignment on risk assessment strategies.
• Gather, analyze, and maintain the information related to 3PDD continuously.
• Risk Mitigate Execution collaborating with business when detects a risk of existing Suppliers.

Sustainability Related Requirement Support:

• Support efforts to improve and comply with sustainability-related requirements such as CSRD, CSDDD, SSBJ or NetZero Project and other ESG related standards, working with cross-functional global teams to ensure accurate data collection, proper analysis and reporting.
• Assist in the development and implementation of global policies and processes aimed at enhancing transparency and compliance with sustainability regulations.

Procurement Risk Management Framework:

• Contribute to the design and implementation of a comprehensive global risk management framework that incorporates ESG considerations into procurement processes.
• Support the proactive identification and management of potential risks related to suppliers, ensuring alignment with the organization's objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Based on diverse information sources, recommend (support to execute) appropriate actions to mitigate risks and impacts associated with suppliers.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Serve as a liaison among procurement, compliance, and sustainability teams, ensuring alignment on ESG objectives and initiatives.
• Facilitate training and awareness programs to promote best practices in sustainability and risk management across the organization.

Strategic Leadership and Accountability:

• Assist in leading the team toward achieving strategic objectives related to 3PDD, Procurement Risk Management, and ESG integration.
• Lead regional and global Projects or workstreams
• Promote team spirit across regions to enable the sharing of best practices and knowledge.
• Self-manage adherence to governance, policies, and processes established by the organization.
• Protect the company’s assets by implementing effective internal control systems and procedures.
• Safeguard the reputation of Daiichi Sankyo by adhering to applicable regional and global legislation.
• Advocate for and foster Sustainable Procurement practices, including ESG considerations, and lead procurement innovation strategies and projects.

Committee Representation:

• Represent the Procurement function in relevant committees and governance bodies, building and enhancing strong stakeholder relationships across all agenda-specific procurement activities.

Supplier Partnerships:

• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers, focusing on specific agenda aspects such as ESG performance.

Internal Collaboration:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, fulfill, and manage procurement needs effectively.
• Demonstrate proven experience in procurement, third-party risk management, and sustainability practices.

Professional experience & education

• Bachelor’s degree in legal, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management, sustainability, compliance, preferably within a global role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.
• Demonstrated expertise in 3PDD processes and ESG frameworks.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards related to procurement, risk management, and sustainability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Languages: Fluent English. Japanese language for effective communication with regional teams and stakeholders in Japan is mandatory.

想定年収（万円）

・基本年収800~1400万＋各種手当（住宅手当等）

Business travel

・Domestic travel: 6 times (2 days/each)/ year
・Global travel: 1/ year (one week)
